Golf Outing News

The annual St. Stan's Golf Outing is fast approaching. We are in need of volunteers to help with this. The outing is on July 25. We meet once a month to plan and prepare for the big day. We need sponsors and door prizes. Tee sponsors are $50 a tee. Door prizes - no item is too big or too small. Questions please contact Brett or Beth Oman at 616-681-2028.

Fall Festival Update

Next meeting will be June 29 at 7:30 pm in the library. We will be discussing baskets, craft projects, advertising and booth set up. All interested parties are welcome to bring their ideas and insights. September 27 will be here before we know it.

Fall Festival Secretary

We are still seeking a volunteer to help Susie Burchardt with her position. She has been volunteering in this position for several years and would like to retire from it. We need someone to work with her and be trained to take it over next year. It involves procurement of licenses, maintaining financial records, ordering the printing of the raffle tickets, preparing the Parish letter, getting the letter and tickets to the Guild to stuff, assist in distribution and mailing, procuring the various monies for the day of festival, keeping track of all the raffle tickets, and preparing the final report. It is a key role in the success of the Fall Festival. Please take time to prayerfully consider this opportunity to assist your parish. Please contact Helene Matecki at (269) 792-2829.

Diocesan Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration

A special Mass for couples of the Diocese of Kalamazoo who are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversaries in 2009 will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009, 2:00 pm at St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo. Couples celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary any time in 2009 are asked to contact their parish office rectory so that their names can be submitted for a personal invitation from Bishop Bradley to participate in this celebration. Invitations will be mailed beginning July 20th.

Ladies Retreat

Attention ladies of the Parish - it is time to make your reservation to spend a quiet, restful and holy weekend at St. Lazare Retreat House in Spring Lake. During the weekend, plenty of free time is available as well as many opportunities to attend conference sessions and celebrate the Sacraments. Each person is assigned their own room, and meals are provided. Call your Parish Captain, Rusty Dutkiewicz at (616) 681-9330, to reserve your room for the weekend of July 10, 2009.
