Other Educational Opportunities

Library: The library is staffed by a parent volunteer (who makes a year long commitment).  Each grade has an opportunity to go to the library and check out books weekly. Overdue fines are not charged. Unacceptable behavior may result in loss of library privileges.

Educational Media: Formed.org is utilized at teacher discretion according to availability of programs and class schedule. Reading A-Z, Khan Academy, Prodigy, GoNoodle, etc…are just some of the online media the school utilizes to enhance the learning of our students.

Retreats:  All grades at St. Stanislaus School attend a retreat during the school year. Special retreats are also held before the Sacraments of 1st Reconciliations and 1st Communion. These are opportunities to explore issues of God, self, and relationships in another context and environment.

Educational Trips Program:   Every other year, starting in the 3rd grade our students attend numerous trips.  Our 3rd & 4th graders visit somewhere inside our state as they learn about Michigan.  Our 5th and 6th graders attend an environmental science camp with other Catholic School students in Allegan county.  Our 7th and 8th graders attend leadership camp every fall and an every other year trip to Washington DC.  These experience help our students appreciate and value our environment, faith and larger communities.  Families are asked to help with events to fund raise the cost of these experiences.

Advent Program: Scheduled each year and prepared by the music teacher with the assistance of the classroom teachers is an Advent Program.
